Live Wedding Painter
Chester County, PA
I paint your wedding live, capturing the emotion, the light, and the moment in a one-of-a-kind oil painting you'll treasure for generations.
I set up at your reception and paint your moment in real time. Guests watch the piece come to life. Part art, part entertainment, all heirloom.
Commissioned portraits that capture not just a likeness, but mood and personality. Painted with technical skill, intuition, and empathy.
Oil paintings exploring light, texture, and composition. From everyday objects to carefully arranged still life studies.

From the first conversation to the finished painting on your wall
Send a quick message to check if your date is open. If it is, we'll set up a video call to talk through your vision, the venue, and any early ideas.
Once we've agreed on the details, I'll send a contract. A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your date. Nothing is locked in until that's in place.
In the weeks leading up to your wedding I create composition sketches based on your venue and our conversations, so we walk into the day with a clear direction.
A couple of weeks before the wedding we connect again to go over the schedule and any last details. I want the day to run smoothly as much as you do.
I arrive early, set up quietly, and start painting. Guests are welcome to watch and ask questions. That's part of the experience.
After your wedding I take the painting back to my studio to finish every detail properly before delivering your piece.
— Taylor RyanHiring Chris Bodary was easily one of the best investments we made for our wedding. Watching Chris bring our love to life on canvas was pure magic. The final piece is a masterpiece that perfectly captures us as a couple. It's not just a painting; it's a living memory of our favorite night.
— Kim DaveyMy daughter recently was married and had Chris Bodary as her live painter. It was such a unique and amazing addition to the wedding festivities. All of our guests talked about it and how cool it was to watch the painting come to life. Chris did a wonderful painting for the newlyweds to display for years to come.
— Laura CarvalhoThe level of care and talent is unbelievable! Chris took the time to get to know us before the wedding and made sure he understood our vision. The wedding guests loved to see the painting come to life. We love how the painting takes us back to our wedding day in a very different way than the photos.
Chris Bodary is a fine artist based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. His artistic approach is a blend of technical skill, intuition, and empathy for his subjects. Chris aims to capture not just the likeness but also the mood, to create a strong composition that you don't want to look away from.
Family is number one. He and his wife were married in 2016, and the family grew to three kids, a dog, and a cat. For Chris, being a dad is a core part of who he is and a constant source of inspiration for his artwork.
Before pursuing art, running played a significant role in Chris's life. He competed in Track and Field and Cross Country for the University of Tennessee, earning All-SEC Conference and All-South Region honors. The discipline and drive from his athletic days continue to guide his journey as an artist.
